Especially given the 'secret' enjoyment of craft beer going on in private among CAMRA officials. It makes you wonder how thin the barrier really is any more, and who's left actively striving to keep it in place. I mean, literally - what are their names?

As far as I could tell the 'world beer' section at GBBF this year was cask only. So we had top US breweries serving beers differently than they usually serve them at home simply in order to take part at all.

It's playground politics, and that's not what CAMRA does best.

They should stop barring the way and get back to leading it.Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/17852488639948144328noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182573841304819163.post-42536662353936092632014-08-16T17:04:11.325+01:002014-08-16T17:04:11.325+01:00Doesn't the GBBF sell keg foreign beers anyway...Doesn't the GBBF sell keg foreign beers anyway, although it won't admit keg British beers?

As I've argued before, all that is needed is a relaxation of the current prohibition of making any favourable mention of non-real beers. The chairman of my local branch happily sups craft cans, but he can't admit that in the branch magazine. It's just daft. Why is it impossible to recognise any virtue in non-real beers while still remaining a campaign FOR cask?Curmudgeonhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02558747878308766840noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9182573841304819163.post-91810312300081986892014-08-15T15:26:44.220+01:002014-08-15T15:26:44.220+01:00If you're right, it's a real shame.
